As a
Data Engineer,
you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing the data infrastructure that powers our e-commerce platform. You will work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with a diverse team of skilled professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their data engineering career to gain hands-on experience and grow within a leading company in the e-commerce industry.

Key responsibilities:

  • Retrieving data from various source systems, designing, creating, testing, and implementing sophisticated data flows, modeling different analytical layers of data storage, and automating data operations.
  • Work on developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to create and manage our data infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the team to design, build, and maintain data pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain data processing scripts and pipelines using Python, ensuring data quality, reliability and security compliance.
  • Deploy and manage data processing and analysis environments in Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Configure and manage real-time data streaming and processing.

Essential skills:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Data engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience with AWS services such as Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Glue, Amazon Lambda and others
  • Proficiency in Python and libraries such as PySpark, NumPy, Pandas
  • Experience with data pipeline, deployment and data processing
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with databases (preferably PostgreSQL)
  • Ability to design, build, and maintain the ETL pipeline and data warehouse
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A passion for working with data and a desire to contribute to a growing e-commerce platform
  • Fluency in English
