Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services and APIs to support the digital customer journey.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers, product managers, and designers, to deliver high-quality, mission-critical software.
• Develop state-of-the-art code, focusing on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system and deploy programs, evaluating user feedback.
• Consistently write useful tests for all code developed, ensuring a high-quality bar is maintained.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems using monitoring and logging tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant industry experience, with 1+ years of experience building large-scale enterprise-grade systems.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language, with a preference for TypeScript ). Experience with Python, Go, or Java is also highly valued.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with databases, including NoSQL (DynamoDB) and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Experience building and deploying serverless applications, particularly with AWS Lambdas.
• Familiarity with monitoring, debugging, and logging tools such as Datadog.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs; experience with GraphQL is a plus.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Agile and SCRUM in the software development life cycle.
• Dedicated to best practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
• Experience with frontend technologies like React is a plus but not required.
