Content Manager

Job Overview

Wargaming is looking for a Content Manager to work in the Content Management Unit within the Publishing Department of World of Warships in our Belgrade office.

World of Warships is the best naval game around, letting you take the command of legendary warships from the period of the 20th century as you battle your way across the open sea with other players.

The Content Manager supports the production and coordination of digital content published on our website, YouTube channel, and other media. This role helps ensure consistency with project goals, publishing plans, and brand guidelines. Working closely with content producers, publishing, and development teams, the Content Manager contributes to delivering timely, relevant, and well-executed content for the player audience.

What will you do?

• Content Support and Execution

  • Contribute to the execution of content plans, visual assets, editorial content, landing pages, and special projects

  • Prepare and update content drafts, ensuring they meet the required quality and format

  • Support the content approval process by collecting feedback and applying necessary changes

  • Ensure published content aligns with brand tone, style, and communication goals

• Creative Contribution

  • Participate in team brainstorms and creative sessions for upcoming content and campaigns

  • Propose new content ideas for the website, video formats, and other player engagement initiatives

  • Explore creative approaches to content storytelling, framing, and presentation

  • Collaborate with content producers, video producers, web developers and designers to test and iterate on new formats

• Working with Audience Insights

  • Review content performance and audience feedback to evaluate the impact of creative ideas

  • Use player feedback and audience data provided by producers, analysts, or leadership

  • Apply these insights to adjust tone, visuals, or structure of content to better match expectations

  • Help ensure that content is accessible and engaging for target segments

• Planning and Coordination

  • Work with the content calendar and roadmap created by content producers

  • Assist in managing timelines and deliverables for assigned content blocks

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams: design, LiveOps, localization, and development

  • Track progress in task managers (e.g. Jira) and flags delays or blockers to the team

• Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintai internal documentation of content assets, approvals, and live versions

  • Prepare short reports on completed content: scope, changes, timelines

  • Support retrospectives and help collect feedback to improve future processes

What are we looking for?

• 2+ years of experience in a relevant field (digital content, gaming, media, editorial)

• Experience with Jira and Confluence

• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT to support content creation and ideation

• Written and spoken English (B2 and higher)

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Experience playing Wargaming titles, especially World of Warships

• A genuine interest in and understanding of Chinese culture, which may include familiarity with its history, aesthetics, traditions, or contemporary media.

• A strong interest in games and the gaming industry

• Artistic sense and basic skills with Photoshop or other graphic tools

• Familiarity with CMS platforms and basic knowledge of HTML/CSS

Work mode

• Hybrid (3 days of work from the office)
