We are looking for new team members who will shape the future of our new Corporate Finance Shared Service Center (CFSSC) in Novi Sad. As the CFSSC is being established, there is a greater opportunity to contribute to process improvement, operation optimization, and implementation of market best practices.

Join us as a
General Ledger Accountant

Responsibilities:

  • Records and verifies financial transactions in the company's main accounting system - SAP
  • Process journal vouchers, post bank statements, business travel expenses, corporate credit card transactions, fixed assets, and intercompany reconciliations, to name a few
  • Work on the monthly and annual financial closing of the books
  • Collaborates with other teams to ensure compliance with accounting rules
  • During the month-end close: handles accruals, deferrals, provisions, exchange rates, goods in transit, and other similar tasks
  • Supporting audits and contributing to the accuracy of financial reporting
  • Analyse and resolve escalated issues related to GL operations
  • Entering financial data and transactions into the ledger, accurately and efficiently
  • Ensuring data accuracy by reviewing and verifying financial documents
  • Analyzing financial information to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts to ensure their integrity
  • Ensuring that financial records comply with regulatory standards and internal policies
  • Assisting in preparing taxes or gathering tax documents to support compliance requirements
  • Supporting auditors, controllers, and other financial professionals in their duties as required

Requirements:

  • Experience in the general ledger
  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting
  • Experience with SAP is desirable
  • Experience with MS Office, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and processes
  • Bookkeeping experience, chartered accountant, ACCA/CIMA/CPA/CMA is a plus
  • Strong mathematical and numerical aptitude
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English
