As an
Engineering Manager
, your primary focus will be to manage the daily activities and priorities of the team, building and leading them. You will collaborate closely with our Product Managers to craft new features and improvements for the Ananas platform. Additionally, you will guide the development of initiatives and features through various phases of the life cycle.

Key responsibilities:

  • Establishes and leads engineering teams through candidate selection and interviews, onboarding, organizing work activities, setting goals and expectations and monitoring their performance.
  • Performs regular 1:1s with team members and ensures continuous feedback; Evaluates team members through regular performance evaluation cycles.
  • Creates and monitors development plans for team members, defines learning needs and ensures career development movements.
  • Monitors employee satisfaction regularly and takes the necessary actions to maintain it at the desired level; builds a culture of innovation and open and transparent communication between team members.
  • Oversees the performance and work of external teams; Evaluates third-party solutions and monitors their impact on products.
  • Organizes daily activities of team members, leads regular meetings and monitors distribution of tasks and team capacity.
  • Closely cooperates with Product Managers on creating and maintaining One Pager documents for product initiatives, assesses team capacity and gives estimations and costing; Actively participates in creating product vision and priorities together with tech leadership and Product Managers.
  • Closely works with other Engineering Managers and IT Operations department regarding stability of the platform and release process of new features.
  • Implements the best engineering principles, test coverage, performance testing, code optimization, and feature flags ensures high software quality standards.
  • Works on technical innovations on the platform that can provide a competitive advantage in the market; Analyzes the benefits of existing and proposed technical solutions and identifies risks for further development and improvement of the platform.

Essential skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Proven experience in leading engineering teams and people management
  • A proven track record of managing cross-functional teams, hiring, onboarding, and professional development
  • Experience in planning and executing complex multi-team products, creating teams, and overseeing execution to meet commitments and deliver with predictability
  • Experience in release process, resolving blockages and coordination of deliveries
  • Strong technical background, software architecture and methodologies
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and prioritization skills.
  • Fluency in English
