We are now looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive leadership team. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, ensuring quality deliverables for our clients, and fostering a motivated, engaged culture across our engineering centers.

Requirements
Your Mission
As COO, you will be responsible for the operational leadership of our delivery centers, ensuring that our teams are empowered to deliver best-in-class software solutions. You will work closely with the CEO and Board to execute the company's strategy, while being the bridge between leadership and our teams on the ground.

As the COO of CREATEQ AG and member of the group executive board, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's continued success and driving its mission to provide high-quality software engineering solutions to our clients. You combine a passion for people leadership with proven experience in both value-basedand project-based delivery models, ensuring operational scalability and measurable client impact. This role reports directly to the CEO.

Your focus will be on:
Engaging with our people & teams: Be close to our engineers, analysts, and project teams, ensuring clear communication, motivation, and alignment.

Driving delivery excellence: Operational leadership, teamstructure and staffing, ensure projects are delivered on time, with high quality, and with measurable value to our clients.

AI Competency & innovation: Further strengthen the AI center of excellence and leverage emerging technologies to innovate, optimize, and scale our business.

Client focus: Oversee delivery performance and client satisfaction, supporting business growth and long-term partnerships.

Growth partnership: Collaborate closely with Sales and Business Development to convert opportunities into long-term, high-value engagements.

Business development: Identify growth opportunities and build lasting partnerships and a growth mindset, understand market trends and develop innovative solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and inspire software engineering teams across multiple delivery centers.

Drive a culture of process ownership across all delivery hubs, ensuring every leader and team continues to take responsibility for quality and efficiency.

Own delivery readiness and ensure processes directly enable business growth.

Own and continuously optimise delivery processes, with clear KPIs, OKRs, and ISO compliance as guardrails.

Own cross-functional processes with HR, Finance, IT to secure the right structures and resources.

Own management reporting cadence and performance transparency to CEO and Board.

Ensure operational excellence in project execution, staffing, and resourcing.

Frequent presence at main delivery hubs and client locations to ensure employee and client proximity, direct client engagement, translate needs into priorities.

Lead a lean and efficient operation with ISO compliance, cost discipline, KPIs/OKRs

Drive communication and collaboration across locations and functions.

Drive a team culture with talent development, team events, motivation.

Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to ensure teams have the right support.

Head the AI agenda including upskilling workforce, support further establishing the AI competence centre and community of practice.

Provide regular reporting and insights to the CEO and Board on performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Support business development by ensuring delivery readiness and client satisfaction.

Your Profile
Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role in software engineering, IT services, or a related field.

Strong track record of managing and scaling teams across multiple locations.

Demonstrated expertise in value-based and/or project-based delivery models.

Excellent people leadership skills visible, approachable, and trusted by teams.

Strong focus on delivery, efficiency, and quality.

Exceptional communication skills in English (other local languages are a plus).

Understanding of Eastern European culture to foster trust, collaboration, and employee satisfaction and ability to engage closely with teams in Serbia, Moldova, and Romania.

Strong client orientation with proven experience in business development and account growth.

Hands-on, pragmatic mindset with the ability to balance strategy and execution.

Entrepreneurial mandate: operator role with ownership, scaling delivery and innovation.
