Novi Sad, Vojvodina, Serbia Avantos Full time €80,000 - €150,000 per year

Company overview

Avantos is building the industry's first AI-native operating system for financial services, redefining how firms onboard clients, deliver advice, and manage core servicing workflows. Our platform unifies fragmented data, automates complex processes, and embeds intelligent decision-making across every step of the client lifecycle.

We partner with leading financial institutions and are scaling rapidly. We're an execution-driven, design-obsessed, product-led team composed of founders and leaders from Wharton, MIT, top design programs, and prior unicorn SaaS companies. We move fast, solve deep industry problems, and build technology that puts users back in control of their workflows.

If you love client impact, product design, complex problem solving, and bringing AI-enabled change to real-world businesses, Avantos is where you will thrive.

Job summary

We are looking for a highly organized and technically savvy Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead the delivery of our next-generation fintech platform. You will work closely with software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to plan, execute, and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions that power financial applications.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in software development, preferably with exposure to React and Golang, and a proven track record managing agile teams building complex SaaS or fintech systems.

  • Project Leadership: Own the end-to-end delivery of engineering projects—from planning and requirements to release and retrospectives.
  • Technical Oversight: Collaborate with engineering leads to break down product requirements into well-defined technical tasks and milestones.
  • Agile Execution: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. Ensure teams adhere to agile best practices and maintain predictable delivery cycles.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the main liaison between engineering, design, QA, product, and business stakeholders to align priorities and remove roadblocks.
  • Risk & Dependency Management: Identify potential risks early and coordinate mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Quality & Performance: Partner with QA and DevOps to uphold high-quality standards for deployments, testing, and release processes.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Track and communicate project health using metrics such as velocity, burndown, and release predictability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Advocate for process and tooling improvements that enhance team productivity and collaboration.

Your skills will include

  • Experience: 5+ years managing software development projects, with at least 2 years in a technical project manager or engineering program manager role.
  • Technical Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; prior hands-on experience as a developer or technical analyst preferred.
  • Tech Stack Familiarity: Working understanding of React (frontend) and Golang (backend) development lifecycles; experience with REST APIs, cloud architectures (AWS or GCP), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Methodology: knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Kanban practices; experience with Jira, Linear, or equivalent project tracking tools.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear deliverables and stakeholder updates.
  • Bonus: Experience in Fintech, payments, or wealth management platforms.

What we offer

  • Opportunity to lead cutting-edge fintech initiatives that impact real users.
  • Collaborative and engineering-driven culture.
  • Competitive compensation, equity options, and benefits.
  • Flexible work environment with hybrid or remote options.
