Responsibilities:

• Team Communication & Collaboration

• Facilitate effective communication between the team and external stakeholders

• Ensure all team members are aligned with project goals and delivery schedules

• Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, ensuring transparency in team activities and release schedules

• Project Planning & Team Predictability

• Ensure work item specifications are complete, within scope, and avoid scope creep

• Effectively manage risks and process changes, ensuring team sprints are well-planned and executed

• Drive consistent and predictable team performance

• Team Velocity & Throughput

• Track, measure, and report on team velocity and feature throughput

• Identify and remove barriers affecting team productivity

• Provide recommendations to improve velocity while managing risks related to delivery

• Stakeholder & Resource Management

• Manage expectations of external stakeholders, ensuring they are informed about project timelines, risks, and release statuses

• Ensure that resource allocation aligns with the project's scope and timelines to avoid bottlenecks
• Continuously assess resource needs and make recommendations to balance capacity with project demands

Requirements:

• Experience & Knowledge

• Proven experience as a project manager in software development or IT environments, preferably working with Java or cloud-based technologies

• Strong knowledge of release management, sprint planning, and team velocity tracking
• Familiarity with code quality processes and tools used to track and improve quality

• Experience managing external stakeholders, delivering concise updates, and communicating complex technical issues in a digestible format

• Skills

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to foster team collaboration

• Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in identifying risks, resolving blockers, and managing scope changes

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with differing priorities and ensure alignment with project goals

• Leadership & Organizational Abilities

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, sprints, and releases concurrently

• Demonstrated leadership in managing teams to meet project timelines and quality targets

• Ability to provide strategic direction and offer actionable recommendations to improve team productivity and quality outcomes

• Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• PMP, Scrum Master, or similar certifications are a plus
• Experience with project management tools like Jira, Trello, or similar tools is preferred
