Job Opportunity: A highly skilled and experienced Level Artist is needed to bring expertise in crafting exciting levels for games played by millions. This role is an opportunity to showcase mastery of level art and leave a lasting impression on the gaming landscape.

  • Become familiar with game design documents to understand environments, objects, atmospheres, story, and style to build levels.
  • Follow references, concepts, and art direction while taking the initiative to take work further independently.
  • Participate in searching precise graphic references specific to assets marked for production.
  • Get familiar with tool installation methods and their settings, project's file nomenclature system, and data updating processes in the engine, and follow all instructions.
  • Create documents listing and presenting graphical content of levels (objects, environments, atmosphere, lighting, styles, etc.).
  • Act as a production and artistic support for Lead Level Artist.
  • Help estimate working time and plan tasks per priority and per level after assessing level content with PM and Lead.
  • Establish modeling and texture needs, place orders with 3D artists, and follow up on progress and quality of work with PM and External Art Manager.
  • Integrate produced objects and textures into the level.
  • Create architectural elements of the level if needed and integrate them.
  • Optimize maps, adjusting size of pieces according to gameplay situations, after assessment with level designer.
  • Participate in setting properties of each object in map (e.g., movement, collision, lighting effects, SFX, sound, etc.).
  • Oversee debug process for all levels.
  • Verify quality of maps once they are imported into the game and make necessary improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of PBR and physically based material standards.
  • Knowledge of material optimization for real-time engines.
  • Knowledge of material blending systems.
  • Proficient in Maya/ZBrush/Substance Designer/Unreal Engine.
  • Good eye for stylization and detail.
  • Shipped titles in similar role.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
