Advanced Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance(QA) Engineer will provide ongoing support in assessing and verifying software solutions, collaborate with team members, and work to ensure continuous quality assurance verification on incoming feature implementation workload.

• Demonstrate proper use of QA tooling and establish repeatable processes for conducting manual testing on incoming feature implementation workloads.
• Provide continuous manual testing support for ongoing feature implementation efforts.
• Organize, enable and maintain automated test pipelines to consistently release well-tested bug-free solutions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product and Design stakeholders to identify, verify and address emergent issues.
• Collaborate, develop, and deliver innovative solutions to business teams including new services and features in modern apps using experience gained from previously developed legacy apps.
• Drive results from collaboration, prototyping, test-driven CI, including continuous maintenance of E2E pipelines & automated testing tooling.
• Strive to ensure clean, well-tested, and user-friendly solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous quality assurance verification on incoming feature implementation workload.
• Maintain project and roadmap scope awareness and raise emergent discrepancies with Product and Engineering.
• Provide regular regression & smoke-testing of deployment environments.
• Take ownership of reported issues and communicate with involved individuals until issues are resolved.
• Be ready to learn new tools and systems quickly and be able to communicate challenges and ask for help regularly.
• Raise issues, communicate with the team, write tests, and learn from mistakes to build a better system and improve your skills.
• Work with product owners, analysts, designers, and other developers to estimate the size and scope of work.
• Contribute ideas, research, and knowledge to the team to increase skills for all.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the following qualifications:

• Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health of employees or others.
• 3 or more years practical experience and/or formal training with black-box & white-box QA testing techniques for web applications.
• Familiarity with common FE/BE API analysis tooling e.g HTTP Toolkit, CharlesProxy, Postman, etc.
• Familiarity with Postman and ability to put together E2E API testing workflows.
• Familiarity with FE E2E tooling e.g Cypress, Playwright or similar is welcome.
• Experience with identifying source of problem by analyzing network request payloads and responses.
• Sufficient understanding of internal browser & OS operation and tooling for reporting related to QA.
• Experience with MS Windows, Mac OS and all the popular internet browsers as well as browser-specific developer tooling.
• Experience with agile development practices as well as continuous integration/continuous delivery best practices; any additional technical experience related to unit, integration and/or E2E testing is a plus.
