Cloud Network Architect

Our team seeks a skilled Network Professional to contribute to the development of our infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, implementing and supporting secure network solutions across cloud and on-premises environments. They will work closely with architects and engineers to deliver high-performance platforms that meet the demands of our mission-critical services.

• Network Solutions Design and Implementation: Design, implement and support secure and highly available network solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Infrastructure Collaboration: Collaborate with the global network engineering team and operations architects on infrastructure improvements.
• Configuration and Maintenance: Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN solutions (Palo Alto, Cisco, F5).
• Network Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance and availability using performance and alerting tools.
• Incident Resolution: Investigate and resolve network incidents using logs, packet captures, and root cause analysis.
• Coordination: Coordinate with security, system, and database teams to ensure end-to-end reliability and compliance.
• Automation and Continuous Improvement: Apply DevOps principles to support automation, continuous improvement, and infrastructure as code.
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and documentation to internal teams and customer support as needed.
• On-call Rotation: Participate in on-call rotation and respond to escalations according to schedule.
• Vendor Management: Contribute to vendor management and escalation processes for network-related services.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 2+ years of experience in network engineering or administration within multi-tiered, distributed systems.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, NAT/PAT, VPNs, DNS, ARP, and TLS/SSL.
• Proficient with the configuration and operation of Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco routers/switches, and F5 load balancers.
• Experience with HA design, firewall ACLs, IPsec tunnels, and failover configurations.
• Proficient in using network monitoring, diagnostics, and logging tools.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
• Self-organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a remote team setup.
• Able to work on-call and during the second shift as needed.
