We are actively seeking for highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our team, in Novi Beograd, Serbia.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our Serbia office, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations and company policies. This role will play a critical part in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities during audits.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls over financial transactions and reporting.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of local accounting standards and tax regulations in Serbia.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Team spirit and collaboration mindset.
  • Advanced business writing and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or a related industry.
  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is a plus.
