The Opportunity 

We are looking for a Senior Treasury Operations Associate to join our team in London. The Treasury team performs a wide-ranging number of business critical activities, including liquidity management, settlement with card schemes, managing engagements with the external banks and payment schemes, and safeguarding client money. 

As a Senior Treasury Operations Associate you will interact with various teams across the company, and will have exposure to all Treasury and Safeguarding functions from day 1. Outside of your day to day responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to participate in departmental strategy and help shape the future of Treasury and Safeguarding at Railsr. 

Responsibilities: 

• Ensuring that all settlements are executed in a timely manner
• Daily management of Railsr safeguarding process (calculation and movement of funds).
• Executing cash movements to ensure sufficient liquidity across all accounts/markets. 
• Daily review of balances and reporting/investigation of irregularities. 
• Providing daily and ad hoc reporting on client/bank balances. 
• Monitoring customer positions and escalating funding issues appropriately.
• Ensuring procedures and processes are kept up to date, reviewed and tested on a frequent basis. 
• Strong risk mindset, ensuring that risks are identified, tracked and mitigated
• Generate and deliver continuous improvement to processes to enhance liquidity management capabilities 
• Participate in key decision making processes which impact Treasury 
• Preparing and compiling the monthly Safeguarding Committee pack by gathering all the required information and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all data and reports included in the pack

• Analytical. You are able to work with, analyse and manipulate data to enable data-driven business decisions to be made. 

Skills & Experience 

• Experience in a treasury operations/payments role, ideally in a Fintech or Banking. 
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a start-up/scale-up. 
• Knowledge and experience of either reconciliations, safeguarding or client money. 
• Solid understanding of either settlements, payments, or cash management (in a 
• financial services setting). 
• Experience in a high-risk environment within financial services, with understanding of how to implement controls. 
• Strong knowledge of Excel/Google sheets formulas 
• Experience of improving manual processes
• Ability to partner with internal and external counterparts, and build solid working relationships
• Willingness to assist partner teams during critical business periods
