The Role

As a core member of the Business Intelligence and Data Analytics team, you will play a key role as a team manager leading BI analysts and delivering meaningful Business Intelligence to drive business growth. You will have the opportunity to join and enhance an expanding team, to apply your analytics skills and commercial acumen to grow the business, across all the various channels, platforms and markets we operate in.

In this role, acting as the business partner for the Retail function, you will work directly with the Senior Management and key stakeholders across the Retail channel to ensure their reporting and analytical requirements are being fully met. This will include the betting shop 'Over the Counter' (OTC) activity, Self Service Betting Terminal (SSBT) activity and Fixed Odds Betting Terminals (FOBT) activity. You will also engage with the BOYLE Xtra (BX) team as part of the wider loyalty program where this has a Retail focus. There will be plenty of opportunities to develop in the role and work with the business areas on a wide range of exciting data-led initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspire, lead and manage a team of BI analysts to achieve its goals and develop its potential.
• Lead engagements from BI with stakeholders across the Retail channels with a particular focus on stakeholders and senior management within the Retail, SSBT and FOBT teams.
• Collaborate with and influence key stakeholders to effectively identify areas for improvement and provide data driven ideas to support their strategic objectives.
• Deliver and maintain interactive reporting dashboards using Tableau or other toolsets where relevant.
• Delivering impactful analysis and insights that provide tangible and measurable commercial impact.
• Meet Business Intelligence demands, prioritising business requirements to balance the operational, tactical and strategic information needs of the business.
• End to end analysis and execution on promotional and sponsorship activities – from cost/benefit forecasts to integration, monitoring, evaluation and recommendation.
• Bring data insights to life and drive them to be actioned efficiently by delivering scalable solutions such as dashboards, self-service analysis and automated actions.
• Improve our understanding of customer behaviour, effectiveness of promotions & special offers and customer journeys, recommending appropriate courses of action and KPI's.
• Adopt best practices and developments in Business Intelligence, continuingly developing the teams capability and influence in the organisation.
• Fostering a collaborative and innovative environment, and promoting a culture of knowledge sharing within the team.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a business analytics role.
• Minimum of 3 years in an analytics management role
• Experience in the gambling and gaming industry, and sportsbook reporting experience is required.
• Commercial acumen, with strong appetite to use analytics to grow the business.
• Pro-active problem solver with highly analytical mind-set.
• Honours Degree or Masters in a numerate or technical discipline.
• Experience using visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlikview, PowerBI etc).
• Advanced working knowledge of SQL and manipulating multi-dimensional datasets.
• Experience with directly building or managing projects that use advanced analytics and statistical software and techniques (e.g. in R, Python, C#, VBA etc.).
• Excellent communication skills with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Project management experience an advantage.
