The Role

We are seeking an experienced and connected
Business Development Manager
to strengthen our presence in the Balkan market (with a strong focus on Serbia and neighbouring countries).

The ideal candidate will have proven B2B sales experience in the travel industry, deep knowledge of XML/API distribution, and the ability to build and expand long-term partnerships.

You will be responsible for driving new business, nurturing client relationships, and achieving ambitious sales targets, all while representing Go Global Travel at local and international industry events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities within leisure and corporate travel, tour operators, agencies, and travel management companies.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key partners across the Balkans.
  • Meet and exceed individual and regional sales targets.
  • Prepare and execute tailored sales plans that support growth objectives.
  • Manage and document account activity in CRM (Salesforce).
  • Monitor and optimize clients' XML feeds in collaboration with the technical team.
  • Provide product, system, and destination training to clients.
  • Represent Go Global Travel at trade fairs, conferences, and client visits.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to ensure competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Finance, Customer Service, Marketing, Product, and R&D) to deliver top-quality service and solutions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in the travel industry.
  • Strong ties within the Serbia/Balkan travel market.
  • Knowledge of hotel booking platforms, XML/API distribution technology, and specialized products.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Strong organizational skills and professional business acumen.
  • Flexibility to travel within the region and internationally.
  • Fluent English (additional languages are a plus).

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with both retail and wholesale travel partners.
  • Previous exposure to product development, trade fairs, or industry workshops.
  • Commercial mindset with passion for the travel and hospitality sector.
