Job title: Core Network Engineer

Office location: Serbia with Hybrid working (3 days in the office)

The Core Network Engineer will be responsible for maintaining core network services, managing and handle network incidents, as well as creating and keeping network documentation up to date and running small network projects

What will you be doing?

Maintain core network services

  • Perform daily maintenance tasks on core network devices
  • Creates configuration for new core network services
  • Participate in implementation of new core network devices
  • Perform and plan upgrade of core and aggregation network devices

Network optimisation and implementation of network services

  • Plan, test and implement new network services
  • Plan and execute planned maintenance activities with minimal interruption to the end customer
  • Migration of network services

Manage and handle network incidents

  • React promptly to alarms received from monitoring tools, ticketing system or emails
  • Provide support to Technology Operations Centre (TOC) engineers
  • Maintain clear communications with relevant teams during the resolution of any network incident

What we are looking for:

  • CCNP certification or relevant experience in an ISP or Telecom company
  • Good knowledge of Ethernet, MPLS, IP, Routing and broadband technologies and protocols
  • Basic understanding of troubleshooting network issues in live environment; hands on network troubleshooting experience in lab or live environment
  • Hands on network troubleshooting skills
  • Work well under pressure
  • Excellent written & spoken English language skills
