For our client, a regional leader in the agricultural and food industry, Workforce is seeking a motivated candidate to join their team as:

Head of Accounting

(Beograd)

Position Overview:

  • Organize and coordinate the accounting department
  • Monitor tax aspects of business operations
  • Develop and update tax management strategies
  • Keep track of tax regulations and changes
  • Collaborate with the CFO on external reporting
  • Prepare and review VAT filings
  • Establish and oversee accounting policies
  • Implement the Group Chart of Accounts
  • Create calendars for period closing and consolidation activities
  • Lead the annual book-closing process

Requirements:

  • Degree in economics or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing companies
  • Experience with consolidation and report package preparation
  • Extensive knowledge of Serbian GAAP and IFRS/IAS
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus
  • Experience in tax planning and communication with tax authorities
