In partnership with our client, one of the most innovative financial institutions on the market, we are looking for an experienced and ambitious professional to join their team as Head of Financial Planning and Analysis. This strategic and operational role is responsible for leading financial planning, performance analysis, capital management, and profitability modelling.

The
Head of FP&A
works closely with all key functions across the organisation and plays a vital role in supporting decision-making and ensuring sustainable growth.

About the Role

This strategic and operational role is responsible for leading financial planning, performance analysis, capital management, and profitability modelling.

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Reporting

  • Develop and enhance comprehensive financial plans and forecasts (annual, quarterly, ad hoc).
  • Monitor performance against plan and forecast, providing variance analysis and commentary on key results.
  • Own and improve financial models and analytical frameworks, including scenario planning and simulations.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and insights to management and stakeholders.
  • Full accountability for P&L.

Capital & Balance Sheet Management

  • Active management of the balance sheet in line with strategic objectives.
  • Capital planning and regulatory compliance (e.g., MREL).
  • Profitability analysis by product, customer, and segment.
  • Participation in pricing strategy in collaboration with commercial and product teams.
  • Establishing and overseeing cost and profit centres, driving budget discipline and cost optimization.

Processes & Optimization

  • Implement local and group standards within FP&A.
  • Lead process optimisation and automation initiatives.
  • Define and enforce internal policies and procedures relevant to FP&A operations.

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Organise and coordinate teamwork, set priorities, delegate tasks, and monitor performance.
  • Support professional development, foster collaboration, and encourage growth within the team.
  • Build an engaged, motivated, and effective FP&A team.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in economics, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial planning, analysis, and/or controlling.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting/modelling tools (e.g., Power BI, SAS, etc.).
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, result orientation, and a collaborative mindset.
