As a member of our team, the Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager in the administration and management of infrastructure projects, and will be responsible for project implementation and delivery of all contract objectives, including technical and administrative support to the client, procurement, OHS, engineering studies and project documentation, as well as monitoring the implementation of the project.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitoring and inspection of construction contracts for compliance with plans, specifications and schedules;


• Monitoring and coordinating the collection of material samples for testing;


• Provision of the instructions to the contractor needed for the proper execution of the works;


• Assists in project management activities by participating in and conducting planning, preconstruction, coordination, progress, scheduling, and field staff meetings;


• Preparing site documentation, daily report and construction records. Control and daily signing of the Construction Diary ("Građevinski dnevnik");


• Ensuring all required tests, operations, measurements, and inspections are scheduled, ordered, and satisfactorily completed and documented;


• Reviewing plans specifications and updating logs in regard to RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings, and change orders;


• Making field measurements and maintaining as-built drawing records;


• Assists in the approval of contractor payments by verifying, reviewing, and preparing quantity and progress estimates and payment forms for payments. Control and signing of the calculation pages of the construction book/measurement sheet ("Obračunski listovi građevinske knjige") as well as the Interim Payment Certificates prepared by Contractor;


• Reviewing and monitoring contractor's approved construction baseline schedule;


• Monitors and coordinates safety and quality control on projects by ensuring project is constructed in accordance with applicable safety regulations;


• Actively and timely communicate with the Project Manager regarding progress and quality of works and all other issues related to the project implementation. Reporting safety, traffic hazards and defective work to the contractor for correction, and preparing and issuing appropriate reports for compliance documentation;

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, min 180 ECTS credits;


• Possession of one of the licenses of the Chamber of Engineers of Serbia is mandatory;


• Minimum of 5 years of work experience;


• Minimum 3 years of experience on contracts for the supervision infrastructure, water and wastewater systems;


• Experience in the supervision or management of infrastructure projects according to the FIDIC Conditions of Contract (Red and Yellow) will be an advantage;


• Advanced knowledge of English in writing and speaking;


• Ability to use computer packages and specific applications for design and project planning;


• Valid driving license.
