Backend Developer (Junior/Mid-Level)

Location: Belgrade, Serbia (Hybrid: office + remote)

Join our dynamic and young team at Playtronix, where we are building cutting-edge software for online casino platforms.

We're looking for motivated junior to mid-level backend developers who want to grow their careers, gain hands-on experience, and work alongside experienced engineers. This is a great opportunity if you already have a foundation in backend development (1+ years) and want to transition into Golang with structured onboarding and training. At Playtronix, we actively support career growth and provide opportunities for continuous learning.

Role Highlights

  • Work as part of a very skilled engineering team on modern backend systems, fully written in Golang, microservices, and cloud-based.
  • Get hands-on training and mentorship to upskill into Golang.
  • Play an active role in incident management and production bug fixing, gaining valuable operational experience.
  • Hybrid flexibility: work both remotely and from our office in Belgrade.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend applications in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Take part in incident response and help resolve production issues.
  • Contribute to code reviews and improve code quality, scalability, and performance.
  • Support the design and architecture of backend systems while continuously learning best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with teammates to ensure smooth project delivery.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of professional backend development experience (Java, , or C++).
  • Understanding of distributed backend systems and microservice communication.
  • Familiarity with databases (PostgreSQL, NoSQL).
  • Eagerness to learn Golang and grow into more complex system design and architecture.

Nice to Have (but not required)

  • Exposure to Kafka or event-driven systems.
  • Experience in industries like Fintech, Trading, Casino/iGaming, or CRM.
  • Knowledge of EKS/Terraform (IaC).
  • Previous experience with Golang.
