On behalf of our client, from the international tobbaco company, we are looking for an experienced and proactive professional to fill in the following position:

Head of Finance Serbia & Montenegro

The Head of Finance for Serbia and Montenegro is a senior finance professional responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Actuals and Forecast Reporting for both markets, including the non-toll manufacturing site in Vranje. The role covers financial oversight of more than £95m NTO and £25m APFO and plays a crucial part in ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality analysis and performance reporting for all internal stakeholders and the Adria Cluster Leadership Team.

This position requires a mature, commercially oriented finance leader with the ability to translate financial insights into clear business strategies and drive operational effectiveness. The Head of Finance combines strong technical expertise with strategic vision to support sustainable growth and long-term profitability across the markets.

Key Accountabilities

  • Shape and execute integrated business plans, strategically aligning resources, capabilities, and financial insights to drive sustainable growth and long-term profitability.
  • Oversee all operational financials and productivity initiatives for the Vranje factory, ensuring alignment with group principles and standards.
  • Support the development and prioritization of Finance policies and initiatives across the wider regional organization.
  • Ensure strong internal controls fully aligned with regulatory requirements and internal policies, including those related to factory operations.
  • Secure accurate, timely, and compliant financial information for both internal reporting and local statutory purposes.
  • Provide management teams with clear, comprehensive, and actionable financial decision support.
  • Manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines, providing full transparency on challenges and risks to local leadership and the Adria Cluster Team.
  • Integrate factory financial performance seamlessly into the commercial delivery of the market.
  • Utilize modern analytical tools and digital solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure prudent working capital and cash management and contribute to broader regional optimization initiatives.
  • Mentor junior finance team members and participate in attracting and developing high-potential talent.
  • Act as a strategic partner to other functions by providing financial, operational, and commercial insights.
  • Develop and engage the Finance team, strengthen the talent pipeline, and support wider regional finance capability building.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and alignment with the organization's values.
  • Deliver and optimize key Finance KPIs including revenue growth, margin performance, new category sustainability, OCF conversion, and marketing spend effectiveness.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for Serbia & Montenegro financials and commercial delivery toward the Adria Cluster Team.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Minimum 6 years of finance or accounting experience within a multinational environment.
  • Strong business understanding and awareness of cross-functional collaboration, including experience working with manufacturing or factory operations.
  • Demonstrated managerial experience leading teams across multiple locations and with diverse objectives.
  • Strong influencing, leadership, and interpersonal capabilities; exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced understanding of relevant finance systems, tools, and analytical methodologies.
  • Ability to simplify complex situations and present financial information in a clear, structured, and actionable manner.
  • Comfortable working in environments with ambiguity; proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex data while delivering clear summaries.
  • Excellent stakeholder management capabilities with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
