Our client is a fast-growing staffing and recruitment agency specialized in connecting skilled EU workers—such as truck drivers, mechanics, and forklift operators—with leading logistics, transport, and automotive companies in the Netherlands. In addition to recruitment, the company provides comprehensive support to ensure employees have a smooth transition and a comfortable stay while working abroad. 

About the Role
We are looking for an HR Assistant to support our client with day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, and administrative tasks. This role will also involve taking on certain responsibilities delegated by the HR Manager, helping to ensure smooth communication with employees and clients, accurate documentation, and the efficient handling of logistical matters such as housing and onboarding.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 Main responsibilities:

  • Be a point of contact for employees via phone and chat channels.
  • Manage sick leaves: register, document, report, communicate, and research cases as needed.
  • Handle client requests and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Oversee employee onboarding, including purchasing tickets, arranging rental cars, handling gas receipts for weekly costs, and processing reimbursement requests.
  • Conduct weekly hour checks, gather data, contact employees for clarifications, and support employee retention initiatives.
  • Address housing issues: coordinate housing groups, follow up until problems are resolved, and relocate employees when necessary.
  • Draft and issue termination letters and offboarding emails.
  • Prepare and manage warning letters, including communication and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of housing issues/reports and update employee details files.
  • Perform basic operations in HelloFlex.
  • Keep HR records and files up-to-date in Google Drive.



 What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in HR, administration, or operations support (preferably in an international or fast-paced environment).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal (Dutch is a plus).
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism and empathy.
  • Proficient in Excel, including formulas and spreadsheets, and experienced with project management tools such as
  • Comfortable working with digital tools such as HelloFlex, Google Drive, and other HR/admin software.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to follow through on tasks until completion.
