TeleTrader is announcing the following vacancy within its Data Maintenance department:


Financial Data Analyst (Stock Market Data)  

Main tasks:

  • Quality assurance of financial market data

analysis and correction of data errors

constantly improving data error detection techniques

  • Analyze the market data from external data sources and adapt it to fit the TeleTrader market data model
  • Acquire know-how about market conventions on various exchanges (specifics about how instruments are traded, trading conditions, trading units, trading hours, etc)
  • Written and verbal communication with external stakeholders (e.g. clients, stock exchanges, data sources)
  • Financial markets–related data mining activities
  • Supporting other TeleTrader departments with data-related questions

Requirements:

  • Educated and experienced in economics, business or finance
  • Strong understanding of the financial markets, especially financial market data and various asset classes (stocks, bonds, funds, derivatives, etc.)
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn unfamiliar software or technology
  • SQL know-how preferred
  • Attention to detail and good analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and cooperate with peers
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • German speakers will be given an advantage
