L2 Support Specialist

The role of L2 Support Specialist is to provide second-level troubleshooting and support for in-store IT solutions, minimizing the adverse effect on business operations and preventing recurrence of incidents related to infrastructure errors.
Responsibilities include:
- Critical incident management, including logging and updating senior management and customers.
- Acting as a point of escalation for priority calls that have the potential to impact business operations.
- Investigating and resolving ongoing issues.
- Monitoring emails for problem management requests and responding in a timely manner.
- Ensuring correct assessment of software changes for supportability and business impact.
- Taking inbound phone calls from customers and performing necessary troubleshooting steps.
- Creating and sharing knowledge in the team knowledge base.
- Producing specific serious incident reports for Morrisons.
Required skills and knowledge include:
- Software analysis skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft OS.
- Knowledge of CA Unicenter Event management.
- Command line scripting and VB skills.
- Strong analytical, motivational, communication, and technical skills.
- Leadership and influencing capability.
- Team player with strong organizational and planning skills.
Experience in retail solution, RCA, and continuous service improvement is preferred. MCP in SQL and Windows Server is also desirable.
