At Magna, we're seeking a skilled Accountant to join our Global IT Finance team.

Job Description:

The Accountant will be responsible for all general accounting for the North America region and will support accounts receivable/payable processes as needed.

This role will ensure accurate financial results are achieved each month end close, working closely with the IT Finance Team in North America.

  • Create and post journal entries
  • Prepare bank entries and reconciliations
  • Fixed assets accounting
  • Maintain general and sub ledgers
  • Month-end close
  • Monitor and reconcile Intercompany and other specific accounts
  • Assist with the preparation of month-end, quarterly and year-end working papers

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Accounting degree/diploma or equivalent job experience
  • Working towards a Professional accounting designation (CPA) is preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Accounting field
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) with intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Accounting software experience – SAP is an asset
