Due to the expansion of our office in Serbia, we are seeking a
Business Development Manager
to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new clients with regular shipment flows or one-time projects through various channels, including cold calls
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to increase service volumes
- Participate in exhibitions, conferences, and other marketing events to promote the company and attract potential clients and partners
- Organize and conduct meetings with new and existing clients
- Contribute to the preparation of tender proposals
- Request transportation quotations from company partners or the operations department
- Prepare pricing proposals for clients in the approved format
- Coordinate contracts with clients in cooperation with legal and finance departments
- Support clients in resolving unexpected issues related to services sold (troubleshooting)
- Provide expert consultations on transportation specifics, possible routes, and customs clearance
- Maintain timely operational and monthly statistical reports, ensuring accurate data entry into the company database
- Monitor market trends, collect and analyze commercial information for decision-making and team use
- Execute management assignments within the scope of responsibilities and provide reports as required
- Adhere strictly to business ethics in all interactions with colleagues and clients, ensuring compliance by all involved team members
- Maintain a professional appearance and create a positive working environment
- Proactively request additional resources or information needed to accomplish assigned tasks
- Prevent and resolve conflicts promptly, fostering constructive cooperation
- Continuously enhance professional skills and stay updated with company policies, orders, and procedures
Requirements
- Higher education
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a similar position, with measurable achievements (preferred)
- Specialized training in effective communication; sales and negotiation training (preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office; CRM system experience (preferred)
- Advanced level of written and spoken English
- Strong analytical and planning skills: ability to set goals, prioritize, define deadlines, and monitor performance
- Experience in business correspondence and telephone negotiations
- Knowledge of sales techniques and logistics processes
- Understanding of transport industry terminology (including in English), Incoterms, and contract terms with carriers
- Ability to analyze and process information using IT tools
- Awareness of market trends and opportunities in logistics services
- Familiarity with company document flow and business communication standards
- High level of business ethics, professionalism, and a neat appearance
