About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer - Commissioning & Software Deployment to

join our international engineering and software services team.

In this role, you'll oversee the technical commissioning, deployment, and operational handover

of large-scale automation and software-integrated systems across Europe. You'll bridge the gap

between hardware commissioning and software deployment, ensuring that complex systems

transition smoothly from design to live operation.

You will lead a team of Commissioning Engineers, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure that

delivery meets both engineering and software integration standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commissioning and acceptance of new installations and retrofit projects
  • (mechanical, electrical, control, and software-integrated systems).
  • Oversee deployment and integration of control software, interfaces, and data-driven
  • applications.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for clients, vendors, and internal development teams.
  • Ensure that commissioned systems meet performance, reliability, and integration
  • requirements.
  • Manage a team of commissioning engineers across multiple EU sites.
  • Coordinate testing, issue resolution, and snag list closure.
  • Support transition of commissioned systems into ongoing application management and
  • support environments.
  • Deliver project reports, documentation, and client-facing updates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, or Software Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in industrial automation, system commissioning, or software deployment.
  • Understanding of system integration principles, APIs, or application-level interfaces.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English (other European languages are an advantage).
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Europe.
