Role Overview

As our new Chief Accountant, you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making at our Belgrade subsidiary. You will act as a key partner to senior management, driving financial efficiency and safeguarding the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the finance department in Serbia.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards, and corporate policies.
  • Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and risk management.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with group headquarters on financial planning and reporting.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of professional experience, with at least 3 in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of Serbian accounting standards, IFRS, and tax regulations.
  • Experience in multinational or manufacturing companies is highly desirable.
  • Experience with SAP ERP will be considered an asset
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
