We have partnered with an international research-based pharmaceutical company offering a broad portfolio of innovative therapies across key areas such as cardiovascular, respiratory, gastroenterology, metabolism, infectious diseases, pain management, and oncology. We are looking for Area Manager to join their team

The Area Manager is responsible for leading and developing a team of Medical Representatives within the territory of Vojvodina. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, implementing company strategies, and building long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and key partners, while ensuring the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full coverage of the assigned territory with a highly engaged and effective sales team.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain Medical Representatives to secure optimal team performance.
  • Monitor and verify the efficiency of visit plans, frequency of calls, and quality of customer mix.
  • Regularly analyze sales results, market trends, and competitors' activities to provide actionable insights.
  • Conduct double visits and coaching sessions to support continuous skill development of team members.
  • Ensure appropriate and effective use of promotional materials, samples, and company resources.
  • Organize cycle meetings to communicate strategy, share results, and plan future activities.
  • Motivate and evaluate team members, providing feedback and corrective action plans where needed.
  • Collaborate closely with headquarters' trainers, Product Managers, and Field Force Managers to ensure alignment with company strategy.
  • Develop and implement local promotional activities, seminars, and events in line with corporate guidelines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmacies, distributors, key opinion leaders, and healthcare professionals.
  • Propose initiatives for sales growth and new business opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, policies, and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • University degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related field.
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales and people management.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and motivational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and local language; strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel across the assigned territory.
