About Us

Six years ago, we built Joberty with a simple but ambitious vision: to bring the entire IT community of Southeast Europe into one place. What began as a small idea grew into a real company with established processes, a strong team, clear roles, and a recognizable brand.

Now, we are entering a new stage of growth, aiming to build an innovative ecosystem of HR products in SEE. As part of that strategy, we are launching new products and initiatives in 2026, while redefining our internal structure. To move this broader strategy forward, we're hiring a General Manager to join our leadership team. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, a deep understanding of both sales and the IT ecosystem in SEE, to lead the organization in founder mode.

What You'll Do

We are a sales organization, thus 70% of your time will be focused on sales and business development.

  • Lead daily operations and drive Joberty into its next growth stage
  • Lead a remote team of 5 people in Serbia and Croatia, with a potential of hiring additional people in the future months
  • Work closely with all employees and mentor where needed
  • Develop and execute strategies for sales, revenue streams, and market expansion
  • Own the P&L and ensure financial clarity while pushing for smart growth
  • Strengthen and expand relationships with HR professionals and IT companies across SEE
  • Act as the main decision-maker - founders will support you, but not decide for you
  • Identify new revenue opportunities, partnerships, and funding options
  • Oversee product development needs and priorities
  • Lead by example, demonstrating high energy, adaptability, and startup grit

Who You Are

Preferably, you are a Head of Sales with a track record of working in small companies, or a hands-on startup founder. You are familiar with the IT industry, ideally with experience selling software to HR teams (a 10+ meetings-per-week rhythm).

  • Sales-oriented, self-driven, and well-connected with HR professionals and IT companies in the SEE region
  • Understand the startup lifecycle and know how to access funding or investments
  • Comfortable with startup speed, ambiguity, and constant testing
  • Financially savvy and confident with managing budgets, costs, and P&L responsibilities
  • Resilient, motivated, and able to lead by example
  • Known and liked by people even outside work
  • Self-motivated, especially during challenging times
  • Someone who believes that meaningful rewards come after real effort, and is willing to invest long-term

Interview process:

All we want to see is that you are capable of bringing multiple initiatives into our organization and you are comfortable with changing directions, creating new tasks for the team, and testing different hypotheses.
