What you will do

As a member of the Global Services Unit, you will be a part of a creative team responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification through to developing, testing, and launching. Your focus will be to write PHP and JavaScript to a high standard in a timely and scalable way that improves the code in meaningful ways. Also, as Devtech is focused on learning and development, you will be expected to participate in company-wide efforts and promote a security, quality, and knowledge-sharing culture across the company.

• Leading an engineering team to build a solution that enables distribution
  and growth of our client's products through the indirect channel. The partner portal will enable an indirect channel of partners to help acquire and manage customers easily, at scale.
• Working with the team of Devtech Product Owners, Solution Architects, Software Developers, Quality Assurance, and DevOps engineers on implementing complex back-end system that powers cloud-based security products;
• Communicate with the Client stakeholders;
• Developing high-quality solutions that are robust, resilient, and reliable;
• Participating in technical design, code reviews, planning, and retrospective activities;
• Interpreting design requirements and concepts to produce new or enhanced application functionalities.

What you will need

• 5+ years of experience in managing tech teams
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities
• Experience with Product-Led Growth, experimentation, product instrumentation, data and analytics
• Good grounding in modern web app design patterns (MVC, SPA, PWA, Component-Based/Modular Architectures, SSR, SOA, Event-driven)
• Strong proficiency in PHP and , with hands-on experience developing and maintaining enterprise-grade production-ready applications
• Extensive experience with Laravel, Symfony, or other modern PHP frameworks that follow similar architectural patterns and conventions
• Ability to make sound architectural and design decisions
• Experienced in guiding team members through technical challenges
• Solid understanding of relational databases, including schema design and performance optimization
• Advanced Git proficiency, including collaborative workflows (e.g., feature branching, rebasing, and merge/pull request practices)
• API-first mindset, familiarity with RESTful API design, GraphQL, JSON, and modern backend development practices
• Experience in ensuring quality with code reviews, automated unit and integration tests
• Ability to contribute to the monitoring infrastructure to improve application operations (error logs, error aggregation, metrics)
• Proficiency in documenting of new, existing and revised source code, APIs and setup guides
• Ability to develop work schedules and timelines based on estimates derived from analyzing product requirements and specifications
• Experience with an agile and collaborative approach in working with empowered teams and trios of product-design-engineering
• Fluent command of English
• Experience or familiarity with workflow automation with n8n or similar is a plus
• Ability to embed security practices early in the development process using tools like Snyk is a plus
• Experience with GitLab, including CI/CD pipeline configuration and management is a plus
• Experience working with alongside is a plus
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for task tracking and technical documentation is a plus
• Exposure to containerized development environments such as Docker and Laravel Sail is a plus
• Ability to proactively contribute to innovation, team growth, planning, estimation, and delivery methodologies is a plus
