Manager, Financial Reporting

We are looking for a decisive and driven professional to manage our Financial Reporting team in Belgrade. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reports, improving processes, and developing a strong, reliable team. You take ownership, make clear decisions, and know how to turn plans into action. You'll work closely with our Dutch colleagues and clients, ensuring that the Belgrade team contributes directly to the success of our business in the Netherlands.

This is a hands-on leadership role: you guide the team, but also actively contribute to the work yourself. You're not afraid to get involved in the content, solve complex issues, and set the standard by example.

Your Role

As Manager Financial Reporting, you are the key figure in our Belgrade team. You lead the preparation of statutory financial reports and ensure that our Dutch clients receive accurate, compliant, and timely deliverables. You work according to Dutch GAAP, maintain strong communication with the Dutch office, and ensure alignment on priorities and progress. You coach team members, but also perform reporting tasks yourself, setting the standard through your own work.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Financial Reporting team in Belgrade, ensuring quality, planning, and timely delivery of all assignments.
• Take initiative to improve reporting processes and implement changes that enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with Dutch GAAP and maintain high standards throughout all deliverables.
• Perform financial reporting work yourself.
• Maintain strong communication with Dutch clients and colleagues, ensuring clarity, reliability, and alignment with expectations.
• Coordinate closely with the Dutch team to ensure priorities, planning and deliverables are in sync, and report regularly on progress, challenges and results.
• Take ownership of the team's output and be accountable for quality and timelines towards the Dutch office.
• Coach and challenge team members to grow, take ownership, and deliver consistent results.
• Oversee multiple assignments simultaneously, managing deadlines, budgets, and quality.
• Review work critically and constructively, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Document work performed and conclusions clearly in our digital systems.

What You Bring

• At least 6 years of experience in Financial Reporting, Controlling, Audit, or similar roles.
• A professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or local equivalent), or close to completion.
• Strong leadership skills: you set direction, make decisions, and hold yourself and others accountable.
• A proactive mindset: you don't wait for change, you drive it.
• Excellent communication skills: you are clear, direct, and confident in your interactions.
• Experience with Dutch clients and familiarity with Dutch GAAP is a strong advantage.
• A clear vision on team development and the ability to build a high-performing team from the ground up.
