The Product Data Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, reliability and timeliness of Product Data across the organization. This role involves developing and implementing data quality standards, monitoring data quality metrics, and collaborating with various teams to improve data processes.
Responsibilities:
Product Data Governance
- Ensure compliance with established governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Define, enhance, and continuously improve governance structures based on evolving business needs.
- Conduct regular audits to verify adherence to governance standards and address gaps.
Product Data Quality Improvement
- Design and implement processes to improve product data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Define and enforce product data quality specifications and standards with all stakeholders.
- Establish and monitor Data Quality Indicators (DQIs), reporting regularly on improvements or issues.
- Organize and coordinate the resolution of data quality issues.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Lead the Product Data Governance Office, working closely with Data Managers and Data Stewards.
- Identify stakeholder expectations (internal and external) and align product data practices to meet them.
- Visualize the product data model (fields, dependencies, interfaces) and assign clear ownership for accountability.
- Train and support staff on product data quality standards and best practices.
Product Data Lifecycle Management
- Ensure timely creation, maintenance, and retirement of product data across all systems.
- Secure consistent product data maintenance throughout the lifecycle.
Project Support & Systems
- Act as subject matter expert in data-related projects (e.g., PIMCORE, POLARIS).
- Support the design and rollout of product data governance initiatives.
Skills & Experience:
Education & Technical
- Master's degree in Economics, IT, Engineering, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of data collection, storage, and analysis.
- Experience with SAP and Power BI; solid IT systems know-how.
- Fluent in English (written & spoken).
Business & Professional
- Ability to link data management with business needs and strategy.
- Analytical mindset with experience in improving processes and tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including in international settings.
