Our client is a fast-growing renowned company in pharmaceutical industry. As part of its ongoing growth, we are searching for a talented and dynamic Channel Sales Director. The role will be based in Belgrade.

Role Overview

The Director of Outbound Sales is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing all activities aimed at driving product sales from distribution centers (wholesalers) to pharmacies and pharmacy chains. The key mandate of this role is to ensure the company's portfolio is optimally represented, accessible, and recognized by pharmacists as well as end consumers.

Key responsibilities:

  • In charge of sell-out in all retail and non-retail channels;
  • Define the outbound sales strategy in alignment with the company business objectives;
  • Define protocols with chains and pharmacies that include discounts, target products, and trade activities aligned with the budgets;
  • Build and strengthen strategic relationships with major pharmacy chains and key clients to enhance the company's market positioning and maximize profitability;
  • Ensure product availability and execution of agreed promotional programs;
  • Set and monitor sales targets and KPIs across channels and categories;
  • Secure optimal visibility and availability of products through brand positioning strategies;
  • Strengthen market position and profitability through enhanced outbound sales and innovative product promotions;
  • Monitor competitive activities and market trends, swiftly adapting strategic directions and action plans accordingly;
  • Analyze performance across regions, channels, and SKUs – identify development opportunities, action plans, and improvement timelines;
  • Coordinate and implement all activities in collaboration with sales and marketing teams while ensuring timely communication with all stakeholders;
  • Take ownership of sales objectives within the scope of responsibility;
  • Define sales goals for assigned teams and track execution;
  • Manage and evaluate employee performance, ensuring continuous feedback;
  • Drive professional development of team members through structured support and coaching;
  • Organize team workload and ensure accurate, timely execution of planned activities;
  • Continuously propose new initiatives, plans, and strategic directions to support business growth within the scope of responsibility;
  • Regularly prepare and submit reports on executed activities;
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned by superiors.

The successful applicant:

  • University degree in Economics, Business, or related field (Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, or equivalent);
  • 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or FMCG industry in senior sales and/or marketing leadership roles;
  • Strong leadership capabilities with proven experience in managing team leaders and cross-functional teams;
  • Excellent knowledge of the market, customer base, and sales processes;
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and customer orientation;
  • Advanced negotiation, sales, and stakeholder management skills;
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; fluent in English and Serbian;
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, e-detailing platforms, and CRM systems is an advantage.
  • Valid category B driver's license – active driver.
